Ages: Kindergarten – 5th Grade (roughly ages 5–11), Girls and Boys
Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program designed for younger children to explore new things and build foundational skills.
Structure: Kids are organized into small groups called Dens based on their grade level and gender. Multiple dens together form a Pack.
Parental Role: Parents or guardians can attend meetings and help their children complete "adventures" to earn rank badges.
Key Activities: Racing Pinewood Derby cars, nature hikes, basic camping, and community service projects.

Park City Troop 72
Ages: 11–17, Girls and Boys
Scouts is the traditional "scouting" experience that emphasizes independence and high-adventure outdoor activities.
Structure: Scouts are organized into Patrols, which are part of a Troop.
Youth-Led: Unlike Cub Scouts, the youth members elect their own leaders and plan their own meetings and trips under the guidance of adult Scoutmasters.
Advancement: Scouts earn merit badges in over 135 subjects—from archery to welding—while working toward the prestigious Eagle Scout rank.
Outdoor Focus: Expect more intense activities like backpacking, whitewater rafting, and long-term summer camps.
