Sustainability

Sustainability

Expanding on the earth-friendly principles of Leave No Trace, Scouting West encourages, supports, and funds sustainability efforts in Scouting.

Examples include:

  • Elimination of single-use dishware during campouts and meetings

  • Recycling packaging materials from campouts and meetings

  • Composting food scraps from campouts and meetings

  • Creation of a uniform “closet” with re-used uniform shirts and patches
