Troop Meeting
We’ll be finishing our sleds for the Klondike event coming up the last weekend in January.
Klondike
The winter Klondike is a perfect way to test your Scouting skills, teamwork, and resilience in the frosty wilderness.
Check in begins at 4 PM at Camp Tracy (we are cabin 2), followed by campfire program and more. Activities begin Saturday morning and include flapjack flipping, knot relay, ice rescue, fire building, log sawing, team building, snowshoe & archery relay, and snowball slingshots. It will conclude with the Big Dog Sled Race at noon. We’ll have lunch as a Troop and then head home.
Scouting for Food
One this one day, Scouts across Utah will collect thousands of pounds of food for local pantries and food banks.
We need your help to work shifts at the Smith’s in Park City from 9-3 and the Kamas Food Town 10-1, please choose your shift here.
Troop Meeting
We’ll be planning for our trip to the Uintas yurt and talking about cold weather camping. We’ll also select grubmasters for the yurt trip.
February Campout - Uintas Yurts
We have rented two yurts in the Uintas, on the YMCA Camp Roger property. We’ll provide details about when and where to meet in the meetings leading up to this event. Winter camping, but with some luxuries! The yurts have bunks and a pellet stove.
Troop Meeting
We have a very special guest for this Troop meeting - Mayor Ryan Dickey is going to join us and will help us complete the Citizenship in the Community merit badge.

We’ll be working on engineering our egg drop container (to be continued at the next meeting).

We’ll be working on prep for our upcoming backpacking trip to Canyonlands and selecting grubmasters for each campsite. We’ll also work on the cooking merit badge prep.
March Campout - Canyonlands Backpacking
We have secured backcountry permits for the Needles District of Canyonlands. We’ll drive down Friday night, stay near the campground, then hike Saturday, stay at a backcountry site Saturday night, hike out and drive home on Sunday. This activity is recommend for our older Scouts, an alternative campout will be taking place on the same weekend for others.
March Campout - Antelope Island
This campout is for our younger Scouts or those not wanting to do the backpacking trip in Southern Utah. We have three campsites at the Antelope Island Bridger Bay campground.
April Campout - Ibex Lake
We’ll be shooting rockets and working on other merit badges at Ibex Lake.
2026 Spring Court of Honor
We get to honor and celebrate all of the hard work and accomplishments we have realized over the past months!
Please wear your uniforms, we’ll have a potluck afterwards and you’re welcome to bring a dish to share.

Our newly elected patrol leaders will meet to discuss future meeting topics, campouts, and more.
All instructors, guides, scribes, patrol leaders, SPLs, and ASPLs should attend.
Sea Scout Expo
Ahoy!! Join area Sea Scouts and learn about boating and maritime adventures available to adventurous souls! This event is hosted by the Wasatch Peaks District.
Sea Scouting is the water-craft focused branch of Scouting America. Ships follow maritime tradition while instilling the same values and sense of high-adventure as other Scouting units.
Activity is open to 14+ (Troop/Crew/Ship)

Join Wreaths Across America in the Park City Cemetery to honor those who served in our armed forces.

City Council Meeting
We will attend the City Council Meeting to fulfill a portion of the Citizenship of the Community merit badge (which is Eagle-required).
2025 November Campout
The Troop’s November campout will be in the San Rafael Swell (“The Wedge” area) on Friday Nov 14 - Sunday Nov 16th.
Troop Meeting
We will do camp preparation for our campout at the San Rafael Swell.
At the end of the meeting we will do Order of the Arrow elections.

Special Troop event & team building! Capture the Flag at Willow Creek Park.

2025 September Campout (Citizenship in the Nation)
Activities planned:
Citizenship in the Nation merit badge
5 mile hike with map and compass (one of the rank requirements)
Camp fire in fire ring (if restrictions allow)

Regular meeting. Working on Citizenship in the Nation and Family Life Merit Badges
Miners Day Parade
Walk with Troop 72 and Cub Scout Pack 3072 in the 2025 Park City Miners Day Parade.
Details TBA, but we should meet around 10 and be done around 12:30 PM. Wear your uniform and get those smiling faces and waving hands ready!
Philmont Scout Ranch Treks
The Troop will join Troop 425 and participate in two different treks throughout the Philmont Scout Ranch.
